The CCYC and the NAACP have joined together in a joint effort to honor individuals in the City of Centralia and surrounding community that has made a difference within the community.
Nominations for the NAACP / Centralia Community Youth Center Wall of Honor to honor local and / or former residents that have made a difference in the community are available. For many years the NAACP has honored various individuals within the city that has made contributions to the development and betterment of the city. Those names are on permanent displayed at the Wall of Honor located at the Youth Center 1224 East Rexford. Nominations are open for any individual that has made a difference.
Individuals honored will be presented to the public at the annual NAACP Banquet and honored individuals will receive a wall plaque in honor of the recognition and a permanent plaque will be mounted on the Wall of Honor at the Centralia Community Youth Center.
No one will be considered for the Wall of Fame Honor without first being nominated. The nomination shall be presented to the committee for review, consideration and final selection. There will be a maximum of seven inductees in one calendar year with one coming from each category or a minimum of one individual coming from a single category.
